Music and fashion have long been intertwined. For decades, music has influenced fashion trends and the styles we see on the streets. So, it was no surprise when American regional Mexican band Fuerza Regida joined forces with the most interesting beer in the world, Dos Equis, to drop a limited-edition merchandise collaboration.
Both Fuerza Regida and Dos Equis have been known for their bold approach to music and culture, always celebrating self-expression and what it means to be Latino and Latine.
Fuerza Regida’s fashion collaboration not only celebrates the bold, but it also honors a special cause
The limited-edition capsule collection features 15 t-shirts, 20 jackets, and a personalized set of five vests worn by the band’s members. The collection was brought to life in partnership with a group of Mexican-American designers and artists who created the full range of pieces that fans can access via auction.
Proceeds of the auction of the pieces will go towards the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), a non-profit charitable organization that seeks “to provide for the socio-economic betterment of the greater Latino community of California.”
The foundation provides access to programs for early childhood education, family services, job training, and senior lifestyle development.
In a press release, JOP of Fuerza Regida says, “Working with Dos Equis to build this movement has been so inspiring, and we’re excited to show our fans the next chapter of our partnership through these unique pieces that really embody the unapologetic spirit of the ‘Ni Perdón, Ni Permiso’ campaign.”
He continues, “Even more, being able to give back to an organization like the MAOF through this campaign is extremely rewarding given the direct impact it makes on the community that raised and supports us to this day.”
